pancake day

so i heard that today it is pancake day and i was like....what the hell is pancake day??

well, for those who do not know, like me until recently, time out describes it as

"shrove tuesday marks the last day before lent, traditionally a period of abstinence, associated with clearing your cupboards of goods suchas as sugar, fats and eggs. it is commonly know as pancake day because it represents a good opportunity to use such ingredients ahead of the fasting period."

for me this day was always carnaval :D

ohh, don't get me started with carnaval. it's one of the best times of the year. in portugal we have a very strong tradition of carnaval, not at the same scale as in brazil, but still pretty good and very funny. 

ohh well, back to pancake day. so at the office we have decided to celebrate this day. but obviously that if we are going to celebrate pancake day we are going to do it in style.

exactly!! we know how to take care of ourselves. and now.......diet and counting calories. summer time is almost here :D
